Losing Weight With Visualization
The Gabriel Method– The Gabriel Method describes a protocol for losing weight without dieting. The book by the same name is written by Jon Gabriel who lost 220 pounds by practicing visualization. Celebreties such as Oprah and Jim Carrey credits the practice of visualization for some of their success, to give you a clue.
The website documents Jon’s journey, as well as the journey of hundreds of others who have used visualization to lose weight and eliminate limiting beliefs. It may not be very uncommon for someone to lose 220 pounds. What may be uncommon however, is that Gabriel did not have surgery to remove excess skin. That’s the power of visualization coupled with action. He has also managed to keep the weight off for almost 20 years. Learn also how the tragedy of 9/11, was the catalyst for his journey to start to take care of himself , transform his life, and affect change in the lives of millions worldwide.
Losing weight can be difficult, especially when we have major food cravings. Jon explains that our body naturally wants to be thin. He teaches his techniques in a 12-week masterclass, as well as offer several different types of techniques we can use to assist in our weight loss journey. To get an idea of what he teaches, try his free evening visualization. It’s available as an app on iTunes or Android. Jon also has some amazing recipes such as those in his 7 Fat Burning Breakfast video below.

Food Does Matter
Food Matters TV– Because of this website I was able to connect with the most amazing doctor, Dr. Dana Cohen, an MD who is also a Naturapathic doctor. I’m a big fan of FM.TV, their paid subscription service – think Netflix for healthy living. The owners are James Colquhoun and Laurentine ten Bosch, the husband and wife team who are the produces of the movie Food Matters and Hungry for Change. They have stocked their websites with a wealth of invaluable information — such as recipes, mindfulness routines, yoga, qigong and other exercises, as well as different types of recipes from celebrity chefs such as raw food Jason Wrobel.
This is a resource like no other, about food, health, and an extensive library of videos on the different dimension of health you will not find anywhere else. These resources are there for you to turn to again and again as you build knowledge and experience you can parlay into living a healthy lifestyle.
James has conducted interviews with influencers such as David “Avocado” Wolfe, Kris Carr, as well as tennis star Novak Djokovic. These are just a few of the health and wellness experts you will find on this website.
Check them out and let me know what you think. You can start with their 10 day free trial. I think you’ll be hooked!
Lots of Free Downloads
Mercola.com– Whether I’m looking for high peat organic soil or in-depth information on high intensity exercise (HITT), Dr. Mercola’s website is a wealth of verifiable health information that has, along with other resources, steered me towards a more healthy way of eating. His nitric oxide release video is quite interesting. I’ve tried it a few times. Try it and let me know what you think.
Dr. Mercola probably deserves some credit for my recent very high HDL results. I find the information he doles out freely on his website to be very useful and sensible.
It should be noted that Mercola is a very controversial figure because he challenges conventional “wisdom” on health and wellness. He is especially rabid about the revolving door between government and the food industry. Like him or not, the information he provides allows us to think with an open mind.
Avocado, Fruit Trees, and Raw Foods
Longevity Warehouse– As organizer of one of the largest health and wellness conferences, raw food guru, David “Avocado” Wolfe has had an enormous impact on the way I think about food. Although he didn’t coin the phrase, I learned “make food thy medicine and medicine they food” from him. His favorite mantra I think is “you are what you eat”. He appears in the movies Hungry for Change and Food Matters mentioned above. I learned the technique of removing calcium buildup in my eyes by using one of the protocols in his book Longevity Now. David is also the author of Eating for Beauty and Naked Chocolate, among others.
David encourages us to drink clean, spring water. One of his signature activities is to advocate, through his foundation, along with others, to plant 18 billion fruit trees throughout the world. Yes, he’s radical. But when has being ordinary made any impact on the world or created lasting change on someone else’s life?
So if you are starving for tried and true techniques on how to develop a healthy way of living, check out his website. This particular site is more for selling products such as raw cacao and high ORAC scoring coffee. But you will also find videos of recipes as well as video clips of his conferences.
I’m very pleased to have become acquainted with the above websites. In a way, they have all been my health coaches for the last decade. In a world where there is so much noise and conflicting information, I’m happy to share a few places where you can do some research for yourself and decide what works for you and what doesn’t. You have a choice.
Have a great weekend! JRosemarie
