The holiday season can be a time of joy and merriment for many. But for some, it can also be a time of sadness and despair. If you are going through some things right now, please remember you are not alone. It might seem like it but it’s not the. end of the world.
I was able to sit down with Lydia Cicarelli for my podcast, SoloMoms! Talk. I asked Lydia how she became a solo mom.
Lydia (edited): The relationship that I had with the other party was toxic and abusive. And I was completely broken. Then when I finally was able to leave, (my son was one), and, he actually kicked me and my son out of his house. That’s the final time I left…I left before that a couple times, but always went back. This is the final time. And I knew that I was done, and I knew that we were gonna be on our own… and we were homeless for a couple of days, but then we eventually got into our first apartment.
This video is a short exert of my interview with Lydia. Listen to the full episode of Lydia’s story.
