Don’t let unimportant people take up space in your head. Now hear me out. Everyone is important. Everyone has value. But if that person (boss, family, “friend”, online troll) belittles you; and if that person is condescending and even downright mean? Then why are you thinking about them? Why are you wasting your valuable time thinking about them? Why pray tell, would you allow that person to abuse and then continue to control your mind? Ask yourself this question: if I wasn’t so upset over what this person has said or done, what would I be free to do? Time to change direction.
Your mind is very valuable real estate. Your brain is capable of amazing things. Release yourself from tyranny. This person may be your boss or a relative so it may be hard to separate from them physically. But you can so make the decision to mentally discharge them from your life.
My method – Release them – Recalibrate your way of thinking – Refuse to let anyone seep in and squat in your mind. That’s it! No more mind squatting. Time to download.
And hey, don’t blame yourself. Even if you made a mistake that’s no reason for anyone to treat you bad.
Release: forgive them
Recalibrate: focus on finding something to take your mind off
Remind yourself that in your life in the grand scheme of things this person doesn’t matter
Refuse to let anything distract you from designing a life that’s worthy of you.
Don’t let unimportant people squat in your mind. Start the download.
Only I can change my life; no one can do it for me.
