I constantly shine a light on my natural aptitude. My gifts and talents are blessings that deserve to be celebrated. But I’m the first to admit that fear sometimes cause me to hide my light.
Still, each day I give thanks for the abilities bestowed on me. When I take a moment to consider them, I feel blessed. Having tools that I am able to use to impact the world is special. I avoid taking them for granted.
The scripture reminds us that we should shine our light (Matthew 5:16); we must be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28); and the we should utilize our talents (1 Peter 4:10). Are you using yours? And does anyone benefit other than yourself?
I love to write, blog and podcast (more interested in the connections I make exercising these skills though). But whenever I feel the urge to waste my day watching TV, I pick up a keyboard and start to type instead. And while sometimes it’s beneficial to binge on mindless activities for a short time, we can benefit more by spending our time wisely cultivating our gifts and talents.
Being grateful for your gifts & talents, empower you to share them.
Being conscious of the importance of honing my skill, keeps me from losing it. I know that many opportunities are out there for me to benefit from the things I do such as writing and podcasting. It is important for me to use it in helpful ways.
Each blessing that I receive is worth sharing with others. And according to Tony Robbins, we can only by truly successful when what we do align with our true gifts. It is then, I believe that others will be truly blessed by you.
Sharing what I know with others is fulfilling. I am thrilled to see how my teachings positively impact another person’s life. Whenever I have the chance to enlighten another person, I take it. Giving of myself only enhances me.
It is foolish to believe that sharing my talents means losing a part of me. Whatever I have multiplies when I share it with others. And we must be “fruitful and multiply”.
Today, blessings surround me and keep me thankful for what I have. My talents are tools for making the world a positive place. I am committed to using them instead of wasting them because they are mine but were given to me to grow and contribute.

- Am I letting fear stop me from fully sharing my gifts and talents?
- How do I know when I have something good that others are able to benefit from?
- How do I go about developing a new skill?
- Am I really using my gifts to its full potential?
